Match Masters Booster List: Every Booster by Tier, Cost & Effect

The Match Masters Booster List currently contains 40 documented boosters across six categories: Bronze, Silver, Gold, Diamond, Legendary, and Special Edition.

2

Match Masters Booster List covers the game’s 40 currently launched boosters across Bronze, Silver, Gold, Diamond, Legendary, and Special Edition tiers.

This guide lists each booster, its tier and effect, and the activation costs that are publicly documented. Special Edition boosters are also explained separately because they can enhance boosters from different tiers, not just Diamond.

How this list was built: Booster names, tiers, and effects were compiled from Candivore’s individual official Match Masters support articles.

Candivore does not publish one consolidated master list, so this reference combines those individual sources. Where a newer or rarer booster does not have a confirmed effect or cost, it is marked accordingly.

The Six Match Masters Booster Categories at a Glance

Category Count How You Get Them
Bronze 3 Purchasable directly with coins (50 coins each, documented)
Silver 3 Early rank progression and daily gifts
Gold 6 Mid-rank progression, events, spins
Diamond 14 Higher-rank progression, events, sticker albums, coin purchases — each has multiple upgrade stages via duplicate cards
Legendary 6 Events, seasonal challenges, album completions — one (Froggy Fu) is currently sale/event-exclusive only
Special Edition (SE) 8 Limited-time events — each SE booster is an enhanced version of a specific Bronze, Silver, Gold, or Diamond booster

Every booster across every tier charges the same way — by matching blue star tiles during a match — as covered in our Boosters & Perks Guide. This page is the full roster reference; that one covers the underlying mechanic and how to choose between boosters and perks mid-match.

Match Masters Bronze Boosters

Booster What It Does Cost
Firecracker Sets off small, randomly-placed explosions on the board, clearing a handful of pieces. 50 coins to acquire
Color Splash Repaints a set of random pieces to a single random color — can trigger automatic matches or set up bigger combos and special pieces. 50 coins to acquire
Quack Attack Clears pieces along the board’s center row. Especially strong if a special piece happens to be sitting in that row. 50 coins to acquire + 6 pieces to activate

Match Masters Silver Boosters

Booster What It Does Cost
Crazy Rocket A bigger version of Firecracker’s effect — triggers one large explosion that clears every piece caught in the blast. 7 pieces to activate
The Jelly You pick a piece to spread jelly from; anything the jelly touches gets removed from the board. 7 pieces to activate
Mystery Hat Drops special pieces onto the board — but they vanish if you don’t match them before your turn ends. 7 pieces to activate

Match Masters Gold Boosters

Booster What It Does Cost
Laser Beam Clears an adjacent row and a column of your choice in a single activation. 7 pieces to activate
Lil’ Dragon Burns pieces outward from your next match — left-to-right on a horizontal match, top-to-bottom on a vertical one. 7 pieces to activate
Mastermind Automatically finds and executes matches on the board for you. 7 pieces to activate
Magic Wand Removes every piece of one chosen color from the board — useful in modes that score specific colors higher. 7 pieces to activate
Sweep It! Sweeps one color to the side, opening up new match — and special-match — opportunities. 7 pieces to activate
Balloon Blast Wipes out a random portion of pieces across random columns. 7 pieces to activate

Match Masters Diamond Boosters

Diamond is where boosters gain multiple upgrade stages — collecting duplicate cards from events, spins, and album rewards pushes a booster you already own to a stronger stage rather than handing you a second copy. Fourteen boosters currently sit at this tier:

Booster What It Does Cost
High Voltage Pick a piece — every piece of that same color sharing its row or column gets zapped away. 7 pieces to activate
Crazy Clovers Converts green pieces on the board into clover pieces that set up stronger matches. 7 pieces to activate
Mr. Appleberry Clears an entire color of your choice from the board, along with anything in its path. 7 pieces to activate
Colonel McQuack Drops special pieces onto the board, then clears full rows for you. 7 pieces to activate
All Aboard Removes every yellow piece on the board, pushing them off to one side. Can’t be activated if there are no yellow pieces present — most effective in modes with a lot of yellow on the board, like Rainbow. 7 pieces to activate
Foxy Roxy Sprays and connects random colors across the board to set up long matches. 7 pieces to activate
Butler Bot Automatically rearranges the board to create matches for you, including special pieces. 7 pieces to activate
UFO Removes a random selection of one color’s pieces from the board. 7 pieces to activate
Queen Cobra Duplicates entire columns on the board, doubling whatever’s in them. 7 pieces to activate
Woolly Workout Converts pieces to a color of your choice as they shift on the board — useful in modes that score certain colors higher. 7 pieces to activate
Doctor Color Converts one color on the board into another, setting up bigger matches and special pieces. Can be restricted if a Checkerboard perk was used first and too few colors remain to convert. 7 pieces to activate
El Magneto Pulls same-colored pieces toward the sides of the board to open up match opportunities. 7 pieces to activate
Vinnie Valentine Marks targets with heart pieces; matching a heart into a group of 3+ of the same color clears every other piece of that color from the board. Hearts aren’t consumed by special-piece hits during activation. 7 pieces to activate
Checkmate Charles Sends knight-piece movements across the board, removing multiple pieces along their path. 7 pieces to activate

Match Masters Legendary Boosters

Legendary boosters aren’t unlocked by rank — they come from events, seasonal challenges, and album completions. One is a documented exception (see Froggy Fu below).

Booster What It Does Cost
Froggy Fu Clears pieces off the board, then spawns lotus flowers. Matching inside a flower’s marked border scores multiplied points by color — Green ×2, Orange ×3, Purple ×4, Yellow ×5 per piece, doubled in Rainbow mode. Not sold — excluded from Booster Boxes, random prizes, and coin purchase; available only through select sales and events
Monkey Joojoo Sends skulls moving across the board that remove everything they pass over; popping a skull spawns another in its place. 7 pieces to activate
Billie Boom A companion robot clears a random color, then bombs keep dropping after every move you make for the rest of your turn. 7 pieces to activate
Brocco Boogie Clears a few random pieces, then places Disco Balls that clear a full color when slid into it. Using a Disco Ball doesn’t cost a move. Matching a Disco Ball directly with a blue piece won’t recharge your booster bar — but blue pieces cleared as a side effect of the chain still charge it. 7 pieces to activate
Cleo Cadabra Turns pieces into scarabs; swapping a scarab onto a piece duplicates that piece — including special pieces — elsewhere on the board. 7 pieces to activate
Mixy Meow Places coded panels on the board; matching one of the listed colors converts the other panel colors to match it. 7 pieces to activate

Match Masters Special Edition (SE) Boosters

SE boosters are not exclusively upgraded Diamond boosters. Each SE booster enhances one specific existing booster, and that source booster can come from any tier — Sweep It SE upgrades the Gold-tier Sweep It!, and Jelly SE upgrades the Silver-tier Jelly. The rest enhance Diamond boosters. All eight documented SE boosters cost 7 pieces to activate.
SE Booster Enhances What’s Different
El Magneto SE El Magneto (Diamond) Same side-pulling effect with a stronger magnet radius.
Doctor Color SE Doctor Color (Diamond) Converts pieces to a target color; shares the same Checkerboard-perk restriction as the base version.
All Aboard SE All Aboard (Diamond) Clears yellow pieces to one side, then spawns bandit pieces — matching a bandit drops dynamite that clears blue or red pieces.
UFO SE UFO (Diamond) Abducts pieces, then automatically targets your next matched piece for a follow-up abduction.
Vinnie Valentine SE Vinnie Valentine (Diamond) Hearts are two-colored and can be matched with either color; joining two hearts together clears four colors at once instead of one.
Foxy Roxy SE Foxy Roxy (Diamond) Connects random colors like the base version, then lets you spray-convert an entire row or column of your choosing.
Sweep It SE Sweep It! (Gold) Sweeps a color aside and spawns a small broom piece that sweeps whatever color it’s swapped with — plus some nearby random pieces.
Jelly SE The Jelly (Silver) After the initial jelly clear, a new jelly patch appears on the board; matching inside it converts every piece in the patch to the matched color.

Match Masters Booster Activation Costs Explained

Costs aren’t uniformly documented across the roster, and we’re not going to pretend otherwise. Two different cost types exist:

  • Acquisition cost — a one-time coin price to unlock a booster you don’t yet own. Only confirmed for the three Bronze boosters (50 coins each).
  • Activation cost — the number of blue-star pieces you need to match mid-match to charge and fire a booster you already have equipped.
Booster Tier Activation Cost
Quack Attack Bronze 6 pieces
Sweep It! Gold 6 pieces
High Voltage, Crazy Clovers, Mr. Appleberry, Colonel McQuack Diamond 7 pieces each
Monkey Joojoo, Billie Boom, Brocco Boogie, Cleo Cadabra, Mixy Meow Legendary 7 pieces each
All 8 SE boosters Special Edition 7 pieces each

Why Booster Rarity Isn’t Everything

A fully-upgraded Gold booster you’re comfortable using consistently beats an un-leveled Diamond booster you rarely risk. Rarity sets a booster’s ceiling, not how well it performs in your hands right now.
Timing and animation familiarity matter more in a live match than the tier badge — the same judgment call our Boosters & Perks Guide makes about booster selection generally, and it holds just as true across fourteen Diamond options as it does across three Bronze ones.

Common Match Masters Booster Mistakes

Mistake Why It Hurts You Better Approach
Equipping your rarest booster in every match Losing forfeits it — a bad matchup risks your best asset for no reason Save top-tier boosters for matches you’re genuinely confident about
Assuming a higher tier always outperforms a lower one Ignores upgrade stage, board fit, and your own familiarity with the booster Judge a booster by how reliably you land it, not just its rarity label
Assuming every SE booster upgrades a Diamond booster Leads to skipping Sweep It SE or Jelly SE while stockpiling coins for a Diamond-only SE search that doesn’t exist Check what each SE booster actually enhances before deciding which to chase
Hoarding Legendary boosters indefinitely An unused booster contributes nothing to your progress Use them in events and matches where the reward-to-risk ratio favors it

Match Masters Booster List FAQ

How many boosters are in Match Masters?

40, across six categories: 3 Bronze, 3 Silver, 6 Gold, 14 Diamond, 6 Legendary, and 8 Special Edition. Candivore doesn't publish an official master count, so this figure reflects cross-referenced research documentation and can shift as new boosters release.

Are Special Edition boosters just upgraded Diamond boosters?

No. Most SE boosters do enhance a Diamond booster, but Sweep It SE enhances the Gold-tier Sweep It!, and Jelly SE enhances the Silver-tier Jelly. SE is a modifier applied to specific boosters across multiple tiers, not a Diamond-exclusive upgrade path.

What's the best Match Masters booster?

There isn't a single confirmed "best" — it depends on board layout, mode, and how reliably you land the timing. A booster you've mastered will usually outperform a rarer one you rarely use.

How do I upgrade a Diamond booster?

By collecting duplicate cards for that specific booster from events, spins, or sticker album rewards — each duplicate pushes it toward a stronger stage rather than giving you a second copy.

Can I get every Legendary booster for free?

Most Legendary boosters are earned through events, seasonal challenges, and album completions rather than direct purchase. Froggy Fu is the documented exception — it's excluded from Booster Boxes, random prizes, and coin purchase, and is currently available only through select sales and events.

Do all boosters cost the same number of pieces to activate?

No — documented costs range from 6 to 7 pieces depending on the booster, and many boosters don't have a publicly confirmed cost at all. Bronze boosters also carry a separate one-time coin cost (50 coins) to acquire them in the first place, on top of any activation cost.

Pro Tip: 40 boosters is a lot to track at once. The shortcut that actually matters: get comfortable with two or three you can time confidently, prioritize their upgrades first, and treat the rest of the roster as options to grow into rather than a checklist to rush through.
